Neighborhood Green Spaces
The Environmental Committee oversees the maintenance of three neighborhood green spaces. The Diamond Avenue Garden is at the corners of Diamond, Humboldt and Cleveland. It is a small garden that features perennials, mature trees and a bench to relax on. A second garden is at the corner of Lamonte Terrace and Lafayette Blvd. The garden features many ornamental grasses and a winding brick path that leads residents to Leeper Park. The Triangle Garden at the corners of Portage Avenue, Vassar Street, Sherman Avenue is the most visible of our green spaces featuring three large flower beds. The garden has tulips in the spring, flowering shrubs in the summer and perennials throughout the year. The committee organizes several garden clean ups each year and welcomes all interested gardeners.
