The Near Northwest Neighborhood Inc. is a fun, active place to live as you will see by all the great events and opportunities in our neighborhood.
Near Northwest Neighborhood Signature Events:
Annual Meeting – Every January NNN holds their Annual Meeting & Breakfast with the Mayor. This popular and well attended event is a great opportunity to showcase NNN’s accomplishments, interact with City officials, community businesses and neighbors.
Adopt-a-Block – Held yearly in conjunction with Earth Day, this annual event is on a Saturday morning in mid April. This resident driven litter reduction program provides the neighborhood with its yearly spring cleaning
Chili Supper – This event, held annually in March, is a great way to welcome spring, catch up with friends and meet new neighbors. The NNN Board and neighborhood residents are the “chili makers” for this delicious, fun event.
Garden Walk – Held bi-annually in July, the NNN Garden Walk is bursting with color and creativity. Residents prune, coax and sweet talk their flower and vegetable gardens to be at their best. Neighborhood green space is also included.
Arts Cafe - Annual event held the first Sunday of November each year. Arts Café opens up new construction and neighborhood homes to showcase their character. This is a unique backdrop for artists, musicians, and culinary specialists.

Leeper Park Art Fair – Sponsored by the St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society this lovely event was named one of the top 200 fine art events in the country. www.leeperartfair.org
Leeper Park Tennis Center – Owned & operated by the South Bend Parks Department the center has 14 lighted courts, a pro shop, locker rooms & snack bar. www.sbpark.org
South Bend Civic Theatre – Ranked in the Top Ten community theaters in the nation. Its fine plays and extensive Youth Theater Program set it apart. www.sbct.org
Colfax Cultural Center – Home of Southold Dance Theater, gallery space for artist, performance space and offices geared toward community enrichment. www.sbheritage.org/campuscenter
Southold Dance Theater – Offers a school as well as performance arts based on modern dance and ballet. Performances are staged throughout the year. www.southholddance.org
